FMI's Compensation Group is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual with high level quantitative and analytical skills to join its growing team. This data analyst role will support FMI’s compensation and data business with processing, maintaining, and delivering survey data to clients utilizing Tableau, Alteryx, Python, and cloud-based services.


This is a full-time opportunity based in either Denver, CO or Tampa, FL, working with dispersed team members across multiple states.



  • Support and maintain data infrastructure, systems, and processes to insure accurate and timely delivery of data and solutions throughout FMI
  • Provide MySQL database support and operational maintenance of underlying data and cloud systems to include AWS, AZURE, Salesforce, and O365.
  • Utilize Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Alteryx, Excel, and MySQL to process, manage, and deliver data driven solutions
  • Create, test, maintain, and deliver content via Tableau Server, SQL, Excel
  • Interact with people at all levels across FMI and client organization, including senior-level executives
  • Support and maintain user credentials, access, and associated server processes
  • Find and recommend new uses for existing data sources; design, modify, and build new data processes; build complex data sets and databases
  • Oversee multiple projects for multiple clients simultaneously and ensuring superior customer service through follow-up, client responsiveness, training, and other customer-focused communication means
  • Document and improve all work processes with critical attention to detail


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field
  • 3+ years proficiency across two or more of the following:  Tableau, Alteryx, MS Excel; along with 3+ years of demonstrated SQL programming skills
  • Knowledge of data analysis concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Demonstrated project management skills; ability to work independently, perform well under pressure and adapt to change while exercising sound independent judgment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Maturity, integrity, and the ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player with team members across remote locations


  • Demonstrated work experience using Tableau and Alteryx
  • Phython or Java a plus
