    Role Overview


    We seek a business development executive who can immediately create impact in our BPM practice and become a vital member in its next phase of development. This individiual has experience both in professional services as well as building product manufacturers. 


    Our ideal candidate understands the trends and changing market conditions specifically influencing BPMs with incomparable industry savvy and established relationships. The BPM Director will be responsible for the immediate identification and qualification of client service opportunities. This individual will also work closely with the BPM Sector Leader to develop client account strategies and drive sales.


    This full-time opportunity requires significant (70-80%) travel and is based out of our downtown Raleigh, NC, headquarters.


    In this exciting new role, you will divide your time between:

    • Driving business development opportunities (80%)
    • Developing FMI’s BPM thought leadership content and strategic direction (10%)
    • Supporting consulting engagements focused on BPM clients (10%)


    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, MBA or equivalent preferred
    • 10+ years of professional work experience in the BPM industry
    • 2+ years in management consultancy
    • Well established and trusted relationships in the BPM industry
    • Proven client business development; superior consultative sales capabilities and a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
    • Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
    • Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
    • Executive presence; displays credibility and self-assurance
    • Ability to make good business decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
