    FMI Insurance Limited

    FMI Insurance Limited, SPC (FIL), a separately incorporated segregated-cell captive, was created specifically for FMI clients who consistently "out-perform the market" regarding insurable risk. We seek a seasoned and driven Account Administrator to join our growing team. FMI is the sponsor of FIL and performs key marketing and participant services as part of the management agreement between FIL and FMI.


    The Account Administrator will report to a Senior Consultant in the Risk Management Practice. This full-time opportunity will be based in our downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, corporate headquarters.


    The Account Administrator is responsible for overseeing and providing exceptional day-to-day client service to participants as part of FMI’s role as sponsor. This individual will have a thorough understanding of FMI’s process and ensure client satisfaction from end-to-end. In this exciting new role, key elements are facilitation, communication, responsiveness, and connectivity.


    Day-to-day Delivery Includes:


    Interacting with Clients: Capturing exposures, billing, and the policy process, as well as working with FIL’s participants to facilitate the smooth operation of their cell captive.

    Administrative Support: Coordinating, scheduling and supporting annual board meetings, annual peer group meetings, business development activities, and other internal and external sessions.


    The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable of insurance in the construction industry and managing construction risks. In addition, the qualified individual possesses a track record of effectively supporting a complex, evolving and growing book of business that performs well over the long term.


    • Driven self-starter with the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
    • Ability to thrive with ambiguity and with minimal direction and supervision
    • Superior organizational, time management, and project management skills, and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment
    • Ability to make good business decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
    • Excellent knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, contracts, and underwriting is preferred
    • Work experience in construction risk management and/or construction insurance a plus
