  • Overview

    FMI’s Management Consulting Analytics team is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Data Analyst with demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills to join its growing team.This full-time position will be based in our downtown Raleigh, North Carolina corporate headquarters.

     

    The data analyst will be responsible for compiling and synthesizing company financials and related operations and performance data into custom-formatted data reports.

    Responsibilities

    • Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
    • Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases
    • Working with management team to create a prioritized list of needs for our clients and the Analytics team
    • Using data to create models that depict trends in client performance and the population as a whole
    • Working with the Data Analytics Manager to outline the specific data needs for analysis projects

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, business, finance, computer science, statistics, data science or related field
    • Demonstrated database and data mining experience
    • Superior organizational, time management and project management skills, and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment
    • Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to work in an ambiguous entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
    • High attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Previous experience with Tableau a plus
