    FMI’s Management Consulting Group is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual with demonstrated research and analytical skills to join its growing team. Our research team works with senior researchers, management consultants and investment bankers to design and conduct research relating to the global construction industry. Individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit are highly desired.

     

    This is a full-time opportunity based in our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.

    Responsibilities

    • Supporting senior analysts and research consultants
    • Assisting with field and telephone interviews; engaging contacts in discussion to reveal key perceptions and information
    • Collecting secondary market research through online databases, the Internet and published sources
    • Utilizing intelligence and software tools to analyze and synthesize complex information
    • Synthesizing research findings into well-written and visually compelling summary reports and presentations
    • Categorizing and storing market data in a highly organized fashion on an on-going basis
    • Developing and managing contact lists and other data types in database or spreadsheet format

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; MBA a plus
    • 1-3 years of professional work experience conducting, analyzing and documenting market research
    • Superior organizational, time management and project management skills, and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment
    • Ability to thrive with minimal direction and supervision in an ambiguous work environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
    • Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
    • Construction industry knowledge and/or experience a plus
    • Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    • Previous experience with Tableau and Salesforce a plus
