FMI Corporation is seeking a talent acquisition professional to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, self-motivated individual with a versatile set of skills. Reporting to the chief people officer, this position will be responsible for professional staffing activity, including college recruiting, and internal/external sourcing. The talent acquisition partner proactively sources, screens, and interviews candidates to fill existing and future job openings within the firm through visits to college campuses, consultation with external personnel agencies, and contacts within the larger community.


This full-time opportunity requires up to 20% travel and will be based in our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.


  • Developing recruitment and placement policies, systems and procedures, including strategies, and selection techniques
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs
  • Establishing and maintaining contacts with employment sources, such as colleges, employment agencies, search firms, and trade associations
  • Gathering and analyzing competitive industry information regarding salary, benefits, and employment practices
  • Implementing strategies to identify, attract, and hire high quality team members
  • Interviewing applicants and gathering information regarding education, experience, training, job skills, salary requirements, availability, interest level, and relocation needs
  • Preparing descriptions of job opportunities and accompanying compensation schedules
  • Proactively researching and investigating innovative sourcing strategies
  • Sourcing, interviewing, and screening job candidates to fill open positions
  • Training business partners and employees in behavioral interviewing techniques on an ongoing basis to ensure effective, legal interviewing practices
  • Working with finance department on annual recruitment budgets, and monitoring expenditures to comply with budgetary limitations
  • Performing other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, psychology, or a related field; advanced degree or MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of broad, diversified recruiting, and staffing experience
  • Extensive sourcing and screening experience, and solid interviewing skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment and selection techniques, requirements, and guidelines
  • Knowledge of hiring practices, behavioral-based interviewing techniques, tracking processes for open positions and applicants, and recruiting metrics
  • Strong administrative and documentation skills, high attention to detail, and proficiency with reporting tools and databases
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, problem solving, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated maturity, integrity, and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player, with people at all levels across the organization
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
