    This full-time opportunity requires 25% travel (estimated), and will be based in our downtown Houston, Texas office.


    • Conducting industry, market and company-specific research
    • Performing financial analysis, valuation and financial modeling
    • Participating in client-engagement meetings
    • Developing transaction marketing materials, including pitch books, teasers, contact lists, confidential information memorandums and management presentations
    • Assisting in the execution of M&A transactions, including the preparation and management of virtual data rooms and the coordination of client and third party due diligence
    • Building relationships and maintaining contact with established and prospective clients and professional advisors
    • Researching and writing articles for publication in firm and industry journals
    • Performing other duties as may be assigned


    • MBA from a top-tier college or university is preferred; bachelor’s degree from a top-tier college or university in business, finance, engineering or another analytically-oriented field preferred
    • 3+ years of investment banking, private equity or corporate development experience preferred
    • Experience with, and knowledge of, the universe of companies providing services and products to the downstream energy and other industrial/process sectors preferred
    • Solid quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling
    • Proven leadership skills and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment
    • Superior organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
    • Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
