FMI’s Marketing Group is seeking an Associate Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will be energetic, driven and passionate about delivering results. The Associate Marketing Manager’s primary objective will be to focus on trade association/industry partner marketing and event marketing. This position will also support other marketing initiatives, projects and team initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and management for key association marketing initiatives.

 

This full-time opportunity will be based in our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining relationships with industry associations
  • Coordinating and managing speaking engagements and involved parties
  • Managing administrative tasks related to association and event marketing
  • Negotiating fees and other engagement elements
  • Creating targeted materials and campaigns – digital, social and print
  • Partnering with Marketing teammates for client deliverables
  • Ensuring association activities are updated and maintained in CRM system
  • Managing trade association marketing initiatives
  • Performing event planning duties: negotiating, booking and coordinating logistics, catering, AV and printed material for corporate programs and courses
  • Reporting on team metrics and activities
  • Developing, updating and documenting processes and procedures, and working to ensure they are followed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 1+ year of professional work experience, preferably as part of a corporate marketing team
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated history of leadership and helping others
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to work independently, perform well under pressure and adapt to change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, listening and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with, or the aptitude to quickly grasp, how trade associations operate and how to provide value to them
  • Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
