Overview

FMI's Marketing Group is seeking an experienced Marketing Production Manager to play a key role on our marketing team. This position's primary objectives are to ensure best-in-class departmental operations and the team's successful execution of projects. In this role you will be part of a highly-focused team whose purpose is to create market-facing content and creative assets, digital campaigns and other marketing activities supporting a strong, established niche brand. This position reports to the CMO and is responsible for managing one direct report.

 

The Marketing Production Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Team, ensuring that work is prioritized and on-schedule and that resources are appropriately allocated. Individuals with experience in managing team production schedules, ensuring smooth departmental operations, managing budgets and making sure things get done effectively are highly desired. The successful candidate will be an executional leader who is a highly-organized, metrics-focused, self-motivated professional with strong project management, organizational, communications and leadership skills.

 

This full-time opportunity will be based in our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Managing departmental workflow, project calendar, and coordination meetings
  • Acting as the lead administrator for the departmental project management tool
  • Scheduling projects and overseeing the allocation of project resources
  • Coordinating resources, reviews, and meetings related to marketing collateral production
  • Performing budget tracking and reporting
  • Reporting on team metrics and departmental activities
  • Leading association and trade group marketing efforts
  • Developing, updating and documenting departmental processes and procedures and work to ensure they are followed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of professional work experience
  • Team leadership, operations and/or project management experience desired
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Experience with project management tools such as TaskRay, Asana, Basecamp, or other group project management systems
  • Demonstrated history of leadership and helping others
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong reporting and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to manage a team’s work and resource allocation
  • Ability to negotiate timelines and schedules
  • Ability to work independently, perform well under pressure and adapt to change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
